I am an undergraduate double majoring in animal science and statistics. I am currently engaged in patent-pending research using MATLAB image processing tools to explore the use of facial biometrics as proxy indicators of innate aggression in intensively managed swine. I aspire to a research career in applied food animal behavior and welfare, creating and validating machine vision algorithms and complementary decision algorithms to cheaply and efficiently track behavioral indicators of welfare, and reliably integrate them into farm management decisions
