Path loss in A&F

Hi I am working on Amplify and forward protocol; With out path loss my code is working fine but when I add Path loss (even though same path loss in each link, its SER performance become worst than single Rayleigh link. Code is here: I am thinking there may be some problem in noise normalization: The theoretical results for A&F shows that with same path losses in each link SER should be same? Any comments?
