Why do I get the following error when trying to install additional toolboxes onto my MATLAB installation?
Incompatibility Error: The specified folder contains updated products that are not compatible with this version.

Why do I see the error message "The specified folder has R20XXx update X installed" when installing a MathWorks Product?
This error occurs when you are trying to install toolboxes into an installation that is not the correct update level. This can most commonly occur when applying installation files acquired through the "Download Only" method as this only downloads the general release of MATLAB and toolboxes.
To fix this, confirm the update level of MATLAB that is already installed and make sure that your installation files match the same update level. An absolute solution would be to uninstall MATLAB and reinstall all toolboxes either through the online installer, or using the ISO image acquired from our website. The ISO image will contain the most up to date version of MATLAB.
