How can I upload a mkv file onto MATLAB?

I am trying to upload a mkv file onto matlab in order to use its depth properties.

If anyone could give me advice on how to upload the file it would be greatly appriciated.

As per my understanding, you are facing an issue in uploading a .mkv file onto MATLAB. You can use a “Video Reader” object to read files containing video data. The object contains information about the video file and enables you to read data from the video.

v = VideoReader('samplefile.mkv');
% Read all the frames from the video, one frame at time
while hasFrame(v)
       frame = readFrame(v);
end
