I have upgraded matlab R2018 a to R2018b and completed activation step, however the only option I can find on my system is still R2018 a. What should I do to be able to use R2018b?

You can't see the R2018b installation in the Program Files directory?

This isn't clear. Did you actually download and install R2018b?

Hi Parisa,
You should have a look at Why am I continuously prompted to activate when I try to launch MATLAB?. It can help resolving you your issue.
Thanks.

if you look at the image that was provided it appears that r2018a is installed and that activation for r2018b is installed but not r2018b itself . Probably a reinstall is needed and if that does not work then contact Mathworks support for free installation assistance .
