Matlab R2017b with Ubuntu 17.10

Hello,

While using Matlab R2017b I cannot open Simulink welcome page (or any such window in fact) because Matlab is not working well with ATK package version 2.26. I keep getting error:

./MATLABWindow: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libatk-1.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_log_structured

How can I resolve this issue?

I am having this same problem with Ubuntu 18.04LTs and R2018a. Does anybody know how to resolve this?

Check to be sure that you have glib installed; https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=glib2.0
