Is MatLab version R2006 upgradable to Windows 10?

We are under going a preliminary study to move from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro 64 and want to know if MATLAB® R2006b Component Runtime 7.5, is upgradable to Windows 10 and if so what is the cost for 3 licenses. If not, what is the cost for 3 copies of the latest version of MatLab for Window pro 64?

According to the System Requirements page, release R2006b is not supported on either Windows 7 or Windows 10. Windows 7 support started with release R2009a, Windows 10 support with release R2015a.

There are a couple of uncertainties here that should be discussed - as Steven suggests - with MathWorks Sales. Ideally, you have a license under maintenance, then there are no costs for you at all. You could install a recent MATLAB release like R2017b and create the stand-alone executable again and work with the respecitve new MCR from R2017b.
I have successfully run R13 (older than yours) on windows 10 without any obvious problems.
I would expect problems with device drivers and in particular if you need direct access to a parallel port then you will have problems. If you use the Data Acquisition toolbox then upgrading to current versions can involve rewrites, and daq only supports a small number of devices that are made by vendors other than National Instruments.
You would also have difficulty if you need to work with multimedia compressed with Indeo3 or Indeo5
Note that the Component Runtime is used for precompiled executables for which no MATLAB license is needed to execute (the people who built the executable paid Mathworks). MATLAB licenses would be required to recompile or make code changes.

Hi, how did you manage to install the old releases Matlab? I tried installing R2006a on a Windows 10 machine and it hangs at the software confirmation page. Please advise
I simply installed it through the normal processes for a MATLAB version that old (installer does not do the downloading for you.) I did not encounter any error.
