Acquisition and preprocessing image.

I have a image with a black line.

I want to preprocessing the image, to be able to get direction of the black line. How can i do that and what steps i need to follow?

im2bw, then take the logical not of the bw image. regionprops asking for the Orientation property.

In theory you should also be able to use hough() transform. However, I do not know how to interpret the output of hough()
