Hi, I am trying to simulate the behaviour of an electromechanical system. I modeled the mechanical part using Matlab and the electrical one using PSpice. Now it's time to merge everything together, and I read that I need a tool/library called SLPS. I downloaded PSpice 17.2 and I have matlab R2016b. The problem is that in the folder I have with all the setup files for PSpice I do not find anything close to SLPS. How can I get it? If I try to call slpslib in the command window, nothing happens. Regards

Hi Lorenzo,
Did you ever figure this out?
I am doing the same thing.
I have OrCAD, Simulink and the "PSpice Systems Option" (from Cadence).
But, it now appears that I need to install "SLPS" according to this:
"Subsection 1, Installing SLPS: Before installing SLPS, login with a user name having administrator privileges for the machine, and close all open applications. SLPS installation is performed by running the SLPS installation file."
Perhaps we can share notes as we go!
Best regards,
Bryan

At Mathworks, when developing SimElectronics, now Simscape,
the decision was made not to build the product upon SPICE netlist syntax that would render the toolbox just another interface to the popular Spice simulation engine, that is open source.
One of the core design lines at Mathwokrs is to offer quality, but quality always comes at a price.
As from MATLAB R2010
quote:
The ability to parameterize SimElectronics® blocks by importing circuit data from a SPICE netlist is no longer supported
end of quote
Simscape Electronics is in the opinion of many still far away from OrCAD capabilities and market share, but the decision to develop a proprietary simulation tool for electronics is proving to be the right decision.
Why don't you give it a thought to start again your mechanics-electronics model with Simscape
