How to integrate the data from contour over a surface?

Hi all,

I would like to get data from a contour image, and do surface integral about the data. Since the color means value of the data, I think the color can be related to values.

For example, circulation defined as surface integral of the vorticity, and I have a contour image of the vorticity field.

If the attached image is a vorticity field, is there a way to extract the boundary and do the integration?

What form is the data in? Is it an image file? Is it a contour object? Is the original data available?
