Write protection on license deactivation
Show older comments
I have Matlab 2016a installed. I have currently two licenses associated with the currently installed Matlab. I want to deactivate the outdated license. When I do it in the License -> Deactivate Software ..., it asks me to Change the Write Protection on Your Drive and Try Again. I don't know what write protection here means. Can anyone help?

I know that the question raised in the past, but let me share my measure; if you are on Windows, you can launch matlab as administrator. Then, you're supposed to deactivate your account even though you're locked out of the disk access. Hope that this will help someone in the future. Thanks.

I had this problem and was able to give the user full control of c:\Program Files\Matlab
