Does MATLAB run on (just announced) MacBook Neo

I do realize that Apple only just announced MacBook Neo, with an A-series chip. Given that MATLAB supports all M-series chips on current MacBooks, I’d like to know if MATLAB supports this new architecture?

They are both ARM-derivatives, so there is a chance that it will work even without official support (which can take quite a lot of time, as Walter pointed out already).
The system requirements only describe officially supported systems. Matlab will run on a much wider range of hardware and software. Just as an example: Matlab 6.5 will run on Windows 11 with only a minor dll tweak. The official supported OS list is W98, ME, NT4, 2000, and XP.

It would be rather unlikely for Mathworks to retroactively add a system to the supported list. It would be much more likely that they would add it to R2026a. On the other hand, considering that R2026a has been in pre-release for a couple of months already, and the Neo will not be available until March 11th, it would be unlikely to have been qualified for Neo support in time for release. We are more likely to see it listed against R2026b (provided that it actually works.)
