Error after attempting to create a Standalone Application or Web App from App Designer

When attempting to create a standalone desktop app or a web app in MATLAB App Designer, I get the following html error:
May someone help me find out what the cause of the error can be? Or what should I check?
The app is inside a project with different folders. In these folders I have several data and utils. The app works without any problems in MATLAB, but when attempting to create a web app or a standalone application I get an error in the deploymentLog.html file (see the image above).
I appreciate every single help
UPDATE 1: No file with this name found and still showing the same error.
UPDATE 2: I tried to create the web app on a different PC and I got the same exact error message. The app works properly on MATLAB, so this ensures from my point of view, that the problem is probably with the app and not with machine. I do not have any files or folders (hidden as well) with only matlab as a name inside the app.
UPDATE 3: Well, I tried again on the same different PC and this time it worked. I have no idea why. Probably I was doing something wrong (potentially I did not insert all the necessary files/folders in the packaging). But this makes pretty obvious that the problem is only on my PC, so i would conclude this issue with this statement, since others did not experience a similar error.

Does a directory c:\.matlab even exist ??? A directory by that name is not impossible on Windows, but it is ... odd.
@Walter Roberson I checked all my files on my C disk and I do not have any file or folder \.matlab
It says "C:\.MATLAB_Projects".
Did you cheeck for hidden and/or system files? But, it certainly is peculiar naming convention.
@dpb There is no file with dot and matlab name. I checked for hidden and system files as well, so I am a little confused with the problem. I am starting to think that the error message is just misleading, but I am not sure.
