2023b Apple Silicon version displays some errors in Chinese

4 views (last 30 days)
After installing the Apple Silicon native version of 2023b some text has started appearing in Chinese and I can't seem to figure out how to fix this.
I've tried reinstalling and removing my 2023b preferences.

Hi
As I understand, you are receiving some errors in Chinese while running the Apple Silicon Native Version of MATLAB’s 2023b release.
Please check if any other languages are listed in the Language & Region section within the system preferences of your Mac machine. Set "English" as the primary language in the "Language & Regions" settings. If any secondary languages are present, please remove them.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunatly removing a second language isnt a viable solution as I need to use it hence why its there in the first place. Also, the second language set on my MBP is Japanese but the errors are displayed in Chinese so I don't believe that the system language is the cause of this bug.

Hi Tim
You have mentioned that the second language on your machine is Japanese. Do you have Chinese as one of the preferred languages on your machine? If yes, that could be the cause of the error. Please remove Chinese from the preferred language on your machine to resolve the issue.
