Go to /Applications/ right click on your MATLAB app select Show Package Contents look in the bin folder. Its the first item in the bin folder: activate_matlab.sh

thank you so much ! however i didn't look in the bin folder after i pressed select package contents, i pressed on activate and then made sure i put in the correct username this time.
thanks, it worked
Is it reasonable to put root as the Licensed End Use?
Using root as the licensed end user is not usually a good idea. That would force people to sudo in order to run MATLAB, and the resulting session would have write access to nearly everything on the system

The message sounds like you have to run the Activation client to reactivate your license. Did you try this already? If you have no success, the Mathworks support team can and will help you, while the power of the forum ist limited for such questions.

Hello, one question, where I can find the activation client?
If you have Windows, look under
Start=>AllPrograms=>MATLAB=>R2015a=>Activate MATLAB R2015a
Sorry, I have mac. Could you help me please? Tks in advance
That worked for me! Thanks
