Uninstallation of the Network License Manager will depend upon the Operating System you are using. If you are using Windows, an uninstallation batch file can be used. If you are using Linux or macOS, you should stop the Network License Manager and then delete the installation folder. If you are using Windows, have already setup a new Network License Manager and configured it as a Windows Service, then follow the steps in the second section of this answer. Uninstalling the Network License Manager on macOS, Linux, or Windows (if a new Network License Manager has not already been installed and has a Windows Service)
- Stop the Network License Manager.
- Go to the folder where the Network License Manager is installed. The default installation locations for each Operating System are listed below. "R2023b" should be replaced with the MATLAB release that you installed the Network License Manager with.
- Windows - C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2023b\etc\win64
- Linux - /usr/local/MATLAB/R2023b/etc/
- macOS - /Applications/MATLAB_R2023b.app/etc/
- The next steps depend on your Operating System
- Windows - Run the uninstall.bat and follow the instructions. Once completed, you may delete the remaining contents from this folder.
- Linux - Delete the folder labeled "glnxa64".
- macOS - Delete the folder labeled "maci64" or "maca64".
Uninstalling the Network License Manager on Windows if you've already installed a newer version of the Network License Manager and configured the new one as a service on Windows
- Stop the old Network License Manager.
- Go to and delete the folder where the old Network License Manager is installed. The default installation location for the Network License Manager's installation is mentioned below. "R2023b" should be replaced with the MATLAB release that you installed the Network License Manager with.
- C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2023b\etc\win64
