Matlab R2022A keeps asking for activation after (network) installation

Goodmorning,
Since the release of MatLab R2022A we have some license issues. The current issue we are facing is that when we install MatLab R2022A on student machines, MatLab throws an UAC prompt for activation. This never used to happen in previous releases we used (latest was R2021A).
I can verify that the License_%computername%_SomeRandomNumber_R2022A.lic is present in the "C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2022a\licenses" folder.
Could you please provide help :-)..

Have you possibly set MLM_LICENSE_FILE or LM_LICENSE_FILE environment variables?
Side note for other people who wander across this posting: license files for individual users are stored in a different directory; https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/99147-where-can-i-find-matlab-license-files
Hi Walter,
Thank you for taking the time to help me with this issue. I have tried setting the MLM_LICENSE_FILE and the LM_LICENSE_FILE. But even after uninstalling MatLab R2022A, rebooting and reinstalling MatLab R2022A the UAC prompt still shows for the activation.
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Raoul!
I think you will probably need to ask Mathworks Support.

Hi,
I understand that you are facing issues while trying to use MATLAB R2022a. The UAC prompt for activation is thrown if no valid license files can be found on the license file search path.
Please follow the troubleshooting steps provided in the MATLAB answer below:
Hope this helps!
