R2026a Prerelease Key Known Issues

MATLAB: Errors with "loadLiteRTModel" or "loadPyTorchExportedProgram" on macOS

Description: Usage of "loadLiteRTModel" or "loadPyTorchExportedProgram" functions in MATLAB to directly generate code from LiteRT or PyTorch ExportedProgram models will result in a crash in MACA platforms.

Workaround: None

MATLAB Editor: Undocking editor does not work

Description: If MATLAB Copilot is disabled or if Copilot license is not available, undocking of editor will not work.

Workaround:

  • Enable Copilot if Copilot license is available,
  • None if Copilot license is not available

5G Toolbox: Error when running the example 'Evaluate Performance of Cell-Free mMIMO Networks'

Description: The "Evaluate Performance of Cell-Free mMIMO Networks" example does not run and displays this error: "The class nr5g.internal.MACConstants has no Constant property or Static method named 'MCSTable'."

Workaround: None

Deep Learning Toolbox: Deploying of any network using shipping bitstreams stalls

Description: Deploying the shipping bitstream on the AMD-ZCU102, ZC706, or Altera-Arria 10 evaluation boards leads to stalling when running ‘predict’ on the input data.

Workaround: None

Simulink: Errors with "LiteRT" or "PyTorch ExportedProgram" on macOS

Description: Using the "LiteRT" or "PyTorch ExportedProgram" blocks in Simulink to directly generate code from LiteRT or PyTorch ExportedProgram models will result in a crash in MACA platforms.

Workaround: None

Simulink: Context menu may not appear on first right click after MATLAB install

Description: In some cases, when you freshly install MATLAB and open a Simulink model the very first time, right clicking in the model canvas may not produce a context menu.

Workaround: Close and reopen MATLAB.

Simulink: Visual rendering issues

Description: Some Simulink block icons may display visual rendering or alignment issues. For example, block icons may display misaligned or clipped text, missing or broken graphical boundaries, truncated port labels, or mild flickering when changing the zoom level. In some instances, block icons may appear smaller or larger than expected, such as in Quick Insert or Library Browser.

Annotations containing mathematical expressions may get rendered with formatting issues.

On macOS platforms, some widget controls may not appear in the native OS style.the "LiteRT" or "PyTorch ExportedProgram" blocks in Simulink to directly generate code from LiteRT or PyTorch ExportedProgram models will result in a crash in MACA platforms.

Workaround: None

Simulink: Becomes unresponsive when changing display scale level within certain range on Linux

Description: On Linux platforms, Simulink may become momentarily unresponsive when the display scale level is changed between 100% and 200%.

Workaround: When running Simulink on Linux platforms, use the default display scale level.

Simulink: Delayed refresh of some UI components when resizing

Description: On resize, some UI components may not render correctly and may show a blank space instead of filling the resized area. Affected UIs include Simulink Copilot, Simulink Notes, and Model Settings Dialog.

Workaround: Click again on the same UI widget to refresh it.

Simulink: Indicator missing in minimap while zooming

Description: While zooming in a Simulink model, a minimap appears in the bottom left. The minimap should have a blue box indicator that shows where the model is zoomed into. This indicator box may be missing.

Workaround: None

Simulink: Rich Text Content (RTC) Simulink notes are not loading

Description: When opening a new or existing Simulink RTC note it gets stuck in a persistent “Loading…” state that never clears. Users cannot interact with RTC notes at all, while other note types load and work as expected.

Workaround: None

Simulink Real-Time: Not supported in R2026a Prerelease

Description: Simulink Real-Time is not supported in the initial R2026a Prerelease. This will be resolved in R2026a Prerelease Update 1, which will restore full functionality.

Workaround: None

Wireless Network Toolbox: Images missing from installed documentation

Description: In locally installed documentation for the Wireless Network Toolbox the images are missing.

Workaround: Use the web version of the documentation to view the images.
