Other Interfaces and Standards

In addition to the interfaces and standards supported by Instrument Control Toolbox, you can work with other standards and protocols directly from MATLAB by using other toolboxes.

CAN and J1939 Protocols

Vehicle Network Toolbox lets you communicate with in-vehicle networks using CAN (Controller Area Network) and J1939 protocols directly from MATLAB or Simulink.

OPC UA Standard and Modbus Protocol

Industrial Communication Toolbox enables you to read, write, and log data from any OPC UA server that conforms to the OPC UA standard. The toolbox also provides functions and Simulink blocks for communicating over Modbus.

Image and Video Industry Standards

Image Acquisition Toolbox lets you acquire images and videos from cameras and frame grabbers based on industry imaging standards including:

• GenICam GenTL
• GigE Vision
• UVC (USB Video Class/OS Generic Video Interface - Webcams)
