HDL Coder enables implementation of Simulink models and MATLAB algorithms onto Microchip® FPGA and SoC devices for fast prototyping on hardware using the HDL Coder Support Package for Microchip FPGA and SoC Devices. Using HDL Coder workflow, you can select the FPGA or SoC device, map your algorithm I/O to onboard interfaces, generate HDL IP cores, and synthesize the generated code. HDL Coder also provides integration with Microchip Libero SoC to synthesize the generated code into bitstream that you can directly download on to Microchip FPGA and SoC devices.
Starting in R2026b, the functionality of HDL Verifier Support Package for Microchip has been moved into the HDL Coder Support Package for Microchip FPGA and SoC Devices.
- FPGA-in-the-Loop simulation - Use MATLAB® or Simulink® to test designs in real hardware for any existing HDL code. The HDL Coder Support Package for Microchip FPGA and SoC Devices includes board definition files for supported Microchip FPGA and SoC FPGA boards.
You only need to install HDL Coder Support Package for Microchip FPGA and SoC Devices to target all supported Microchip FPGA and SoC Devices.
