@Nikolaos Nikolaou: can you be more specific? I just re-tested two previous solutions and they worked fine. Each of the test cases contains single-line variables.

goc3 submitted a Comment to Problem 10. Determine whether a vector is monotonically increasing

Also, the test case with x = [0 0 0 0 0] has been removed since it was originally marked as false. Technically, a monotonic function "is either entirely nonincreasing or nondecreasing" per Wolfram.com. Per this definition, that answer should have been true, as it would also be true for monotonically decreasing.

The [former] second test case of x = [0] has been removed due to its tendency to cause confusion.

@ Nikolaos: are you sure it's the test suite and not a server error? If you get the following message, it is due to a temporary server problem, not a specific problem: "While evaluating the solution, the server encountered an error caused by temporary unavailability of MATLAB Service. Wait a few minutes for the MATLAB Service to return, and then rescore." If you are getting this error, simply try the problem again later or on a different day.

The fibonacci() function is in a toolbox. Only functions in vanilla Matlab are recognized by Cody.

I've fixed that first line in the test suite. Try it again.

Your function produces sOut in string format (in the last line of the function). The test suite defines the variables as character arrays instead of strings. These two data types cannot be directly compared—i.e., you'll have to return a character array. Also, when I run your function, it returns "hello" rather than "hlleo".

goc3 submitted a Comment to Problem 44273. Given a square and a circle, please decide whether the square covers more area.

No, that test suite is fine, since he uses those random values to calculate y_correct. Also, for that other test with 3>7, he's using that to create a false logical value for y_correct.

goc3 submitted a Comment to Problem 1696. Morse Code Generator! Try it!

The test suite should be working now. I fixed the parentheses problem mentioned in the other comments (it should now recognize left and right parentheses as different). There were also seven spaces between words in the test suite, though the encoded description indicated five—that has been fixed, as well.

Also, note that the input n (polynomial order) refers to the highest-powered term in the series, NOT the number of series terms.

@Jean-Marie Sainthillier: Amazing. I'll have to make sure that some later problems in the series can't be brute forced, even by him, though he may still find a way. These test suites take long enough to create as it is.

@Qianqian Fang: once you've solved a problem, click on the solution map (containing all the green circles and orange x's). On that separate page you can click on each of the shapes to view each solution below the chart.
