how to install matlab 2008a in windows 7

whenever i try to run the setup file of matlab 2008a it just copies files to my temporary folder and then after nothing happens. can anyone give me the solution of it

And as I am sure somebody will teach you "tricks" to install it successfully: "Not supported" does not mean "does not work". It just means "not tested", which again means that even if you are successfully doing task A it may fail with task B. And believe me, you will run into this just one day before your project's deadline...
