Installation Query in MAtlab R 2020b

During the installation of MatlabR2020b student edition , i selected all products, it said that the installation will take up around 46 GB . Even after installation my C disk space beacame as low as 19 GB but suddenly the disk space increased to 36 GB. How and Why did this happen. now the space by matlab folder is showing as 30.2 GB

A full installation of all MathWorks product (R2020b) on Windows machine requires 32GB of disk space. Please refer to this link for more information on the required disk space on various OS.
However, if you are installing only MATLAB then 3.5 GB of HDD space is required and 5-8GB for typical installation.
