Scaling of one axis only in 2D plot

hello eveyone,

I have the display on left. I want to get the diplay on the right (currently stretched using MS Word). Height of y-axis to stay same. How can I do it in MATLAB?

To confirm, first try this

d= rand(100,1);
plot(d)

Then try this

d= rand(100,1);
plot(d)

x0=10;
y0=10;
width=600;
height=200
set(gcf,'position',[x0,y0,width,height])
