Will a Simulink mex file built on a Redhat Linux machine run on SuSE Linux machine?

I am running Matlab/Simulink 2018b on a Redhat Linux machine and want to share a protected reference Simulink model with someone who is using Matlab/Simulink on a SuSE Linux machine. I have heard that since Redhat and SuSE have different kernels there may be compatibility issues if the model is protected. Before I share the model I would like to know if anyone has done this before and if there were any issues.
