Communications Toolbox Support Package for RTL-SDR Radio, hardware set up error

Hello

I tried to install Communications Toolbox Support Package for RTL-SDR Radio, after downloading it but this error keeps preventing me from setting it up. the error says: " Hardware setup error :cannot detec the RTL-SDR radio. .."

the documentation says devices with USB 3.0 ports can be the reason why. All my USB ports are indeed 3.0. How can I overcome this issue??

Hello,

Hardware setup error can occur due to many reasons. Try either of these :

A) This issue can happen sometimes when the VMPlayer is running on Windows®. Turn off the VMplayer and try again. You can start the VMPlayer after your computer recognizes the RTL-SDR radio correctly.

B) Unplug the radio and then plug the radio back in again. Be sure to use the same USB slot.

No I dont have VMPlayer on my laptop.

and th documentation keeps mentioning the "USB 3.0 ports" issue. Now, I was able to detect the SDR device (HackRF) using "HDSDR", but MATLAB still can't detect it. So, can this pose an issue only with MATLAB, or does this mean that the problem is from something else?
