Any free tools in Matlab for controlling audio output of sound card?

HI everybody,

I have some ideas I want to start implementing. It is about processing real time the output of the soundcard and applying filters on them.

I read in the forum about tools that allow you to do this easy. Data Acquisition Toolbox etc. But all those options are not for free. Are you aware of any free tools that would give me more or less the same functionality?

To get "real time" you would need to control the sound card itself. MATLAB usually cannot run fast enough for "real time" audio work. To control the sound card itself, possibly you should use ActiveX to talk to the card.
