App Designer is duplicating components, once I open .mlapp

One of my student have created an App with App Designer, it worked okay at the begining, but suddenly while open .mlapp file it duplicates controls. I deleted them and it worked again, but when I open the file again, App Designer duplicates the components.
Do you know how to fix this problem?
Thank you

Can you attach the mlapp file?
Did anyone ever get to the bottom of this? I am also seeing this issue.
What version of MATLAB are you using @Ben? If you could recall what you've done with the app when you encountered this issue, like dragging a Grid into the app, etc, that would be helpful. thanks.
@Elvia, the same question as for Ben. If you can provide these info, it would be useful. Thanks.
I've attached a fixed version of the app here.
It could happen during reparenting, and here's the EBR: https://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/1918110
It has been fixed for R2019b, so I'm wondering if this is new if you're using the release after R2019b.
Has anybody solved this? I'm having the same issue with 2020a and 2021a, app designer is generating more than 200 app.UIAxes... it's a HUGE ISSUE :(

Hi
It's a known issue and the concerned teams are working on it.

Hi Mazhar, thanks for the quick response. Is there a workaround currently? This bug makes the app designer much harder to use as every time I open the app it requires several minutes of figuring out which duplicated graphical elements must be deleted.
Any word on this? I am having the same issue in 2020b. I have hundreds of the same menu that I have to delete every time I try to edit my app.
Contact support to remove it for you once and for all.
In my use of 2022a, I also encountered a similar issue where some components would multiply created with each opening, while also some components would simply repeat only once every time, even after being deleted and saved them. As long as I open the design tool, they will reappear. I suspect this might be related to an unsuccessful batch copy of controls I performed previously. I have already submitted the mlapp file to the technical support team... But will this kind of bug occur again in the future? I hope this issue with the software can be fixed in the future.
I've also had this problem that followed me through a few releases of Matalb, not sure how far back. Currenlty using 2022a. In my case I made a copy of the app as a backup and finally I deleted all of the affected controls (duplicates as well as the original). I was afraid that this would delete the control altogether, but as I had a backup, I felt it could add it in easily enough. To my surprise when I opened the app, the control reappeared and only with one instance. Closing and reopening the app did not cause the duplication of the control as it had previously. So this seems to fix the problem in my case.
