How to prevent simulink from oppening multiple times the same appdesigner app

Hi, I need simulink to communicate with app designer in runtime, but the fact that I have writen (happ=app1;) in the InitFcn callback, as "https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/443317-how-to-prevent-app-designer-gui-from-opening-multiple-gui-figures" solution sugestes simulink doesn't stop oppening new apps, with the parameters updated instead of updating.
I'm using 2019b release
