Could anyone please solve this MATLAB operation x=7/84

Could anyone please solve this MATLAB operation x=7/8\4 in matrix operation: precedence. I got the answer 4.5714. Logically, you could get the answer by calculating 8÷(7÷4). I cannot understand the sequence if it involves backslash (left division)

7/8\4 = (7/8)\4 = 4/(7/8)
