Matlab 2019b does not open in Catalina

I have downloaded a fresh installation and installed it. The application opens for a second (you can see the little dot under the matlab symbol) but then it closes up without ever opening the splash screen.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem with matlab 2019b, but matlab 2019a is running under catalina.

Same problem on 2019a and I cant seem to download 2019b as i kept getting the "No products available" message

Same problem for me; also double clicking on a .m file will not open Matlab.

Matlab only opens if I type /Applications/MATLAB_R2019b.app/bin/matlab in a terminal, but it does not output anything regarding the error.

Hi,

This can be because MATLAB License Manager Error message windows is been stopped from appearing. To find what error is run.

/Applications/MATLAB_R2019b.app/bin/matlab .

This should output the License Manager Error, which you can use to determine the root of the issue.

If this doesnot work kindly reach out to MathWorks support for assistance. Mathworks provide installation support to all the member with valid license.
