Image denoising using DnCNN

In the function "denoisImage" example:

I = imread('cameraman.tif'); 
net = denoisingNetwork('dncnn');
noisyI = imnoise(I, 'gaussian', 0, 0.01);
denoisedI = denoiseImage(noisyI, net);

The input layer is with size [50 50 1], how does this function "denoiseIamge" process the image?

Does it partition the image into patches of size [50 50 1], and process each patch?
