You can throw a shoe... Tough to do that with a shirt.

Both are better in their their own fields. There cannot be direct comparison of both as they are meant for different purpose & applications.

People never pound their shoes on the table -- only ever one shoe at a time. But doing the same thing with a shirt would be rather silly.
