Excel and MATLAB connection

How can I connect excel and MATLAB so that I don't need to import the excel data every time manually? Also, how ActiveX can be used for this purpose?

You can use xlsread to read data from Excel in your code. I would avoid the use of ActiveX whenever you can avoid it. You can find some examples of how to use this function in the documentation.
