Get a student license

I am a student at Oakland Univeristy and am taking a systems engineering class. One of the subjects for our class project is optimization. I have not used Matlab since 2005 (last time I went to school). I would like a student license of Matlab and Simulink so that I can educate myself in the software and apply it to our class project. Is this something I could get? I am also teaching myself C# and any product that would use coding functions such as C# with Matlab would be an added bonus.
