In the bvp example what is meant by sol.y(1,:) in plot function. What does 1signify?

In the help page for bvp problems, in the plot function, it is used sol.y(1,:). What does 1 signifies? In a different lroblem that I tried, I was able to make different graph by replacing 1with 2.
