startup.m treated as a virus files by McAfee

My windows 7 (64 bit) and my students XP machines have suddenly decided that startup.m files with path name changes are virus files and McAfee blocks them from being stored.

Are there any suggested work arounds other than -- stop McAfee -- change startup.m -- restart McAfee
