The sequence to call beamforming and receiver ?

Any order should be followed to call beamforming and receiver for PSAE or AESA ?

In Phased Array System Toolbox, receiver models thermal noise at the receiving elements so beamformer should happen afterwards. On this regard, PESA or AESA shouldn't matter.
