Control mesh size on the faces of a 3D Structural Model

generateMesh allows to control the mesh size (Hmin, Hmax and Hgrad) for the whole geometry of a 3D structural model.

Is there any way to control the mesh size on the faces of a 3D geometry, for instance refining the mesh on one of the faces while having a coarser mesh on the others?

If not, is there any other way to force generateMesh to refine the mesh in specific locations of a 3D geometry?

Local mesh refinement is currently not availbale in PDE Toolbox.
