How to segment white matter, gray matter and csf in MR image?

I need to segment white matter, gray matter and csf to find the tumors in an image. initially in segmentation i have to use bwt(berkeley wavelet transform).

Possibly. Try it and see. I do it via thresholding and kmeans in the attached code.
