Simulink Model of Regenerative Braking

Hi is it possible to create a simulink model of regenerative braking using MATLAB? Has anyone done it before? Can you share some of your simulation?

Hi @Saif Sayyed, Found a Regenerative Braking System. Why not post a new question discussing about the engineering problem you are facing in your project?
How does regenerative braking affects the drive cycle performance ? Also what does it has impact if the mass of vehicle changes and corresponding change in drivetrain performance.
I have a project on regenerative braking in hybrid electric cars The project is a simulation on Matlab using Simulink for a regenerative braking system for hybrid electric vehicle like the Camry Hybrid So I can input With different variables Time Speed in kilometers Distance Torque output: Recovery energy So I can change each one of them by myself And The range for speed in the simulation is in city 40-80 km outside the city is in 90-120 km
Hi all does any one has done project on Regenerative Braking in Electric Vehicle Using Hybrid Energy Storage System (Battery+Supercapacitor (or) Fuel Cell (or) Flywheel)
Hi all does any one has done project on battery-hygrogen Hybrid Energy Storage System for heavy electrric vehicles.

Hi Everyone,
I have attached my MatLab simulation model for you guys to learn and analyse how it works.
I am sorry, I was away and did not open this account for a long time.
Hopefully the model file helps you guys!

Hello Sir,
Thanks for the Simulation. But can you provide the simulation to previous version 2016b.
Thanks in advanced.
I am sorry, I don't have the older version. When I was working on my project I used 2018 version.
Monica,
Thank you for the simulation. Please let me know the rating of the BLDC motor considered in the work (Rated Power, Rated voltage, Rated speed, Rated Torque).
Thanks and regards,
Vishnu
Hi Vishnu,
The motor rating is 48V, 450 RPM, 500W.
Hi Monica, I am also working on BLDC motor driven electric vehicle.I am working on a project 'Regenerative braking based on supercapacitor for electric vehicle', I need to implement regenerative braking on it and charge the battery. Kindly sent the model with regenerative braking to my email (124005043@sastra.ac.in). I can modify and do my work by understanding your concepts. Kindly help.
hi kaaviya ,i am also working on regenerative braking can i get any files about this.if you have any file please mail to this: rev751181@gmail.com
wow thank you very very much for the attachment helped me alot
Hi monica,
could you please fix this.
or any others on this thread please help me with this.
Thanks in advance.
Hi Shashank,
Did you find the solution, I'm also facing the same.
If you could resolve that, can you please let me.
thanks in advance.!
Just a reminder that MathWorks has several officially documented examples for this. Here's a repost of a comment I wrote below in case you missed it...
Please note that there are some great models for Hybrid Electric (HEV), Battery Electric (EV) and Fuel Cell (FCEV) vehicles in Powertrain Blockset, each of which includes the controls logic and physics modeling to capture regenerative braking. Check out these reference applications to help you get started.
Whats the relation between the Tm and the speed then, the speed will always be how we set the ref speed as, so doesnt matter whether Tm is positive or negative or whatev its magnitude is. Then whats the point of this? Someone please explain :")

Regenerative braking for an EV? Need some informations on what exactly you want to simulate.
I did a simulation on regeneration braking using BLDC motor for EV applicaitons (though battery charing was very minimal).
Let me know what exactly you're searching for..

Hello Monica,I am working in energy harvesting sytems and i am also using the same method to harvest energy, is it possible to provede me a model for my reference devlopement ?
I am using torsion spiral spring in project, is it possible to design torsion sprial spring in simulaiton with an appropriate simulaiton results?
Hi Monica,
I am developing hybrid electric vehicle model for developing coutry markets and exploring to maximize fuel mileage to maximum.
Can you pls share your model for regenrative braking for my reference and learning on parthss@umich.edu?
Hello Monica,
I am doing my graduation project on fuel consumption using regenrative braking for a hybrid propulsion tractor semitrailer model. I am trying to establish the model for the combination of a vehicle with diesel engine with an in wheel electric motor for brake energy regeneration. It would be of great help if you could share some simulation models. Please mail me on ank.makam@student .han.nl
Thank you in advance.
Dear Monica,
I am an engineering student currently working on this project for my theses . Please can you email me your model: aryalsugam3@gmail.com
Hi Sugam,
I have already attached the model at the end of this forum.
Also, I have upload my simulation model in file exchange. Please find it here - https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/90411-bidirectional-vsi-based-regenerative-braking-for-bldc-motor
Regards,
Monica.
Omg. This thread is still active even after 2 years!
