greek symbols in my code

How can I write sigma in my code?I read https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/creating_plots/greek-letters-and-special-characters-in-graph-text.html but I couldn't understand how to put it in my code
could anyone explain it for me or write a code example for me plz. thank you
