Font Ligatures in Matlab Editor

Hi, I would love to use the Fira Code font to its full extent ( https://github.com/tonsky/FiraCode ), but for that I need to enable font ligatures. This is possible in many coding editors, is there a setting in MATLAB for that?

I also want to know this, you would think with how much money this software cost they would enable ligatures, even Notepad on windows 10 supports ligatures.

+1 for this. the editor, along with having to boot the entire bloated UI feels increasingly archaic and restrictive in 2020 compared with other languages.

Unsure when this was added, but this seems to work fine as of 2025b.
