convert arrays of a tensor symbolically

i have imported components of a matrix from another software and it is something like this: dimensions m(3,3),a(3,3),b(3,3) m(1,1)=a(1,1) * b(1,2)+a(1,1) * b(1,2)+a(1,1) * b(1,2)*a(1,3) * b(2,2)........and so on is there anyway to define them symbolically? or i have to rename them to a,b,c,d,e ......
