Matlab Drive Connector Installation 'Already have latest version'

I've run into an error where I can't reinstall Matlab Drive Connector.
I attempted to first reinstall the Matlab Drive Connector by double clicking it in the control panel uninstall window. The program then disappeared from the list (no popups). Now when reinstalling it from the downloaded executable file the installer returns a window saying that 'You already have the latest version [...]'. I deleted all Matlab Drive and connector files from the computer and even reinstalled Matlab but I still get the same result.
Is this a known issue?
Thanks for your time!

Hi James,
The MATLAB Drive Connector application may still be installed in the following directory: %LOCALAPPDATA%\MathWorks\MATLABConnector\$VERSION Please remove the folder and go through the installation process once more.

Hi,
I am having the same issue with R2021b on Mac, but like I-Lin Wang I have no idea where to find MATLABConnector. Can you tell where it is located?
Thanks!

Here is my experience,
First all, make some hidden folder visible, so you should click on the "Hidden items" under "Show/hide" subtab, which is under "View" tab in the top.
NEXT, then go to following directory: \Users\Your Name\AppData\Local\MathWorks\MATLABConnector, you could delete the folder "MATLABConnector" now.
Finally, if the above didnt work, delete the folder "ServiceHost" in the same directory path.
Now it should works.
