Equipment with good compatibility with MatLab

I'm currently planning to do a project that evolves getting data from proximity sensors into MatLab and I wanted to ask if an arduino board would be a compatible device to collect the data and send it straight in to MatLab.

Yes, the Arduino can send the data straight to MATLAB. Install the Hardware Support Package for Arduino .
