Selecting/removing points in 3d scatter plot

Hello

I have a 3d scatter plot and I want to use some sort of a selection tool to select values of a certain region. Is it possible to do so in matlab? Any script that I can use? I know of scripts floating for 2d plot, but I need for 3d scatter plot.
