how can i read a stack of images which are in .mat format into my matlab program

I put it into my workspace, but it says cannot display summaries of variables with more than 524288 elements.

now i have a small program, i want to use my program to enhancement these 40 MRI images.

I am new to matlab, could you please show me step by step how can i read into these 40 .mat format MRI images into my program. thanks a lot for your help

The load function would be useful to work with .mat files.

The error 'Cannot display summaries of variables with more than 524288 elements." is expected behavior to limit the spike in memory usage of MATLAB.
