Simulink Desktop Real-Time advices

Hi,

I am currently using Simulink Real-Time and the Windows real time target block to do a Hardware in the Loop. I ideally want to reach a loop time of 5 ms. The mean value is 5 ms but the RMS is 7.8 ms which cause my Hardware in the Loop to be not very representative of the real system.

Shall I expect better performance with Simulink Desktop Real-Time ?
