start matlab from desktop on ubuntu

after i install the matlab on ubuntu, there is no such a matlab application on the desktop, i can only start the matlab from terminator. How can i start the matlab from desktop?

You can create a desktop launcher for MATLAB by using the 'matlab-support' Ubuntu package. Here are instructions on how to do this:
